RMB 41.1 Billion! 15 Cultural Tourism Projects of Jingzhou Signed Intensively

On the morning of June 10, as one of the major activities of the First Session Jingchu Cultural Tourism Festival, Jingchu Cultural Tourism Industry Development Peak Summit was grandly opened. Experts and scholars of cultural tourism industry from the whole China gathered to analyze the prospects of Jingzhous tourism from multiple aspects and provide intellectual support and theoretical basis for the development of Jingzhous tourism in the view of international perspectives, and put forward insightful views in terms of the development and protection of Jingchu culture and the integration development of culture and tourism.

Wang Shengtie, former Director of Committee for Handling Proposals of CPPCC, also the former Chairman of Hubei Provincial CPPCC, Li Youcai, former Deputy Chairman of Hubei Provincial CPPCC, Ma Feng, Deputy Director of the Cultural Industry Division of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of China, Lei Wenjie, General Director of Hubei Provincial Department of Culture, Jingzhou municipal leaders including Yang Zhi, Cui Yonghui, Wang Shouwei, Zhou Jing, Wu Chao'an, Zeng Qingzhu, Duan Changlin, Jianghong, Yuan Defang and Lu Shouxiong, experts and scholars nationwide, and heads of famous companies attended the event.

Ma Feng expressed congratulations on the complete success of the First Session Jingchu Cultural Tourism Festival and Jingchu Cultural Tourism Industry Development Peak Summit. He said, this March, the Party Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping at its core made the important decision of setting up the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which put forward new and higher requirements for advancing the integration development of culture and tourism. The Cultural Tourism Festival and Summit were held just in time. Next, Jingzhou should make efforts to explore the integration development law of culture and tourism, promote the dual in-depth integration of culture and tourism under the guidance of the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era so as to advance the contents of tourism via culture and expand the spread and consumption of culture via tourism.

Lei Wenjie said that, Jingzhou is well deserved as the central area of Jingchu Culture as well as the enrichment region of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Through the development and expansion of culture industry, Jingzhou has been gradually transferred its culture confidence to culture self-consciousness, cultural advantages to development advantages, and cultural function to cultural soft power so as to promote the great rejuvenation via culture revitalization. The insights, great ideas, and wisdom results on this Peak Summit would definitely assist and support Jingzhou and even the whole province to have a long-term stable development in terms of cultural tourism and finally obtain fruitful achievements.

Cui Yonghui, vice secretary of Jingzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, also the Mayor of Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government, expressed warm welcome to the attendance of all leaders and guests and gave a detailed introduction of the rich resources of Jingzhou’s historic culture and tourism. He said that, looking back at the history, Jingzhou once owned the peak of Chinese culture, humanity culture and national spirit. The host of Jingchu Cultural Tourism Industry Development Peak Summit gathered a number of top entrepreneurs, and scholars to exchange experience and look forward to the future, which will definitely produce the peak of thoughts and boost Jingzhou to obtain the peak of rejuvenation.

Project signing ceremony was also held on the site of the event and 15 cultural tourism projects in total were signed intensively with an overall signing amount of RMB 41.1 billion.
